What is Plump It Up?

Plump It Up™ is a bovine-collagen-based creamer rich in collagen-supporting amino acids, vitamins, and proteins to unlock plumper skin from the inside out. The creamy format of Plump It Up™ makes it easy to incorporate into your favorite Apothékary formulas. Just add hot water, your favorite powdered formula, and froth well. In minutes, you have a delightfully creamy herbal latte.

If you don’t have access to a refrigerator, Plump It Up™ doesn’t need to remain cold and is easy to carry on-the-go for a creamy addition to your favorite drinks, anytime and anywhere. The blend is dairy-free, gluten-free, and free of refined sugars. It contains monk fruit, a natural sweetener that makes your herbs more palatable.

What is collagen and why do we need it?

Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body and its main role is to help provide structure and strength to tissues throughout your body. It is an essential building block of your skin, muscles, bones, and ligaments, and is even found within organs and blood vessels. As collagen and hyaluronic acid¹ production are naturally reduced with age, it can lead to loss of skin elasticity (your skin’s ability to bounce back into place). Tocotrienol or more commonly known as tocos powder is a superfood that is a member of the vitamin E² family. Vitamin E is a key nutrient for protecting our skin³ and other connective tissues and has been utilized in dermatology for over 50 years.

What herbs are inside Plump It Up?

Bovine Collagen

Our hydrolyzed collagen is sourced from grass-fed cows and contains 90% protein. It also contains an array of amino acids. 18 different amino acids support the health of our tissues like skin, hair, nails, and cartilage but are also important for supporting the gut lining⁴ and overall digestive health. Many studies⁵ have shown the importance of collagen and collagen supplementation for skin regeneration, wound healing, and healthy joints.

Tocos

Also known as tocos powder, is derived from rice bran solubles and is rich in fat-soluble Vitamin E. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant. Antioxidants help reduce the cell damage that can lead to premature aging, inflammatory issues, and possibly more serious health issues down the line. Studies⁶ have shown that oxidative stress can be linked to hair loss and antioxidants play a key role in helping to decrease oxidative damage.

Coconut Milk, Coconut MCT Oil, and Oat Milk

Coconut and oat are dairy-free milk alternatives with a vast array of health benefits. They add a creamy texture and healthy fats to herbs which help bind the formulas better within liquid. They also help increase the absorption of some of our other formulas like Claim to Flame. Similar to the antioxidants in tocos powder, substances within coconut milk help protect the body against oxidative damage⁷. Regular consumption of oats⁸ can be beneficial for our immune systems, gut microbiome, and provide inflammatory support.

Monk Fruit

Monk fruit, known in China as Luo Han Guo, has been cultivated for almost 1,000 years but has gained popularity worldwide in recent years. It is a member of the gourd family with a similar growing habitat to cucumbers and melons. Our monk fruit extract is a calorie-free and sugar-free alternative to sugar. The fruit contains a sweet substance called mogrosides which are naturally much sweeter tasting than sugar (sucrose) so a little bit goes a long way! It is a beneficial alternative for folks watching their blood glucose levels. In addition, research⁹ has shown that the fruit contains antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that promote general wellness.

Conclusion

Plump It Up™ may be your new favorite skin-boosting creamer. With its plethora of potent collagen-supporting ingredients, it will surely deliver the creamy texture and skin plumpifying benefits you’ve been looking for.
